Pro-Warrior Wants You
As Pro-Warrior works to continually expand our coverage, we’re looking for a few talented individuals who want to be involved. If you’ve got a knack for writing or reporting and feel yourself to be an expert in your game of choice, we want to hear from you!
If you want to get involved, please take a look at the following categories. Please note that these are volunteer positions. We’re not afraid to reward those who contribute significantly, but it’s still a labor of love (and respect!).
Tournament Writer, Analyst or Predictor
As a Pro-War feature/writer Analyst you will be required to write features reviewing, previewing, and analyzing matches or events within the community. Some of the features you will be doing will be analysis pieces on a biweekly basis for match nights while other features are weekly pieces related to the scene in general.
If applying for a prediction position, you will be required to do weekly or biweekly prediction posts for the league matches, whichever applies to your league and/or division.
We’re looking to fill the following writing, analysis and prediction positions for:
Joint Operations
(3) European, East and West Coast devisions
Counter Strike Source
(3) All levels
Please designate the league that you want to be involved in when applying.
When applying, please include in as much detail as possible, your past experience with competitive Gaming, any past experience with gaming or sports analysis. Please include samples of your writing, and any other unique traits you feel separate you from the pack.
HTML and Formatting Editors
As an HTML editor, you must be able to design dynamic templates for coverage and unique content. You should have firm grasp on using minimal HTML to achieve appealing results. Javascript, Visual design and content editing abilities are a plus.
When applying, please include references to or attach copies of work you’ve done in the past that relates to the target position.
Quality Assurance / Content Editor
Our content editors read over and fix the small unwanted mistakes in our features before they're posted on Pro-Warrior. Want to be a part of our staff and have the first dibs to read our unpublished articles for us? Here's your chance.
Applicants must have strong command of the English language, both written and verbal. Editors must be able to work effectively in a collaborative environment, and be able to work to a schedule.
When applying, please attach or reference any material you feel to be related to your abilities in serving this position.
Graphic Artist / Designer
As a Graphic Artist for Pro-Warrior. you will be creating dynamic graphics, which include logo design, header designs, and many other content based graphical images on a daily basis.
Applicants should have a strong background in visual design, and must be able to work inside themes created by Gotfrag, our senior staff, and teams as you create artwork built for specific purposes. You must be able to work alongside our editors to produce appealing content. HTML and/or Flash knowledge is a plus.
When applying, please include references to or attach copies of your design work (nothing too large in attachment, though).
Freelance Writer
As a freelance writer for Pro-Warrior. you have the freedom to write anything you desire - so long as it meets the usual standards. Want to voice your opinion on a controversial match or upcoming team? Go right ahead
When applying, please include or reference at least two independently written columns or articles related to eSports or competitive gaming.
Requirements
For all positions, we request that applicants be at least 17 years of age, with strong communication skills. If younger than 17, please produce a convincing argument! Writing positions require strong command of the English language, and all writing should be done in a word processor with spell check support.
All writing positions, including freelance, require applicants to help define and adhere to a schedule for their projects. Writers should be self sufficient in gathering data, though we do often work as a team.
If your position requires that you submit original work related to gaming and you haven’t yet created any – start writing now and submit when finished! Please, do not submit content that’s in no way related to gaming.
Editing and Design positions require attention as content is submitted – if applying for such a position, you should generally be online and available for a substantial amount of time every day.
